Rick Monroe & The Hitmen to Perform at Daytona's Steakhouse & Gastro Pub at First Turn for Bike Week
Event Details
TLG/Virgin recording artists Rick Monroe & The Hitmen rev up their spring tour with a performance during Daytona's Bike Week. The group will perform for ONE NIGHT ONLY on Friday, March 1 at the famed Daytona's Steakhouse & Gastro Pub at First Turn (5236 S. Ridgewood Ave., Port Orange). Showtime is 7:00 P.M. and admission is FREE. For more information, please visit firstturnsteakhouse.com, or call (386) 788-5434.
Rick Monroe & The Hitmen's upcoming performance at the famed venue follows the release their latest single, "Worth The Hurt," that impacted radio this week as the #3 Most Added spot on the on the Mediabase Activator Panel, as well as the Secondary Market Rock (SMR) Chart, sandwiched between Godsmack and Hardy in #2 and #4 spots, respectively. Co-written by Monroe, Jared Weeks and Scott Wilson of Saving Abel, and multi-Grammy and multi-Dove award-winning producer and composer, Skidd Mills (Skillet, Third Day, Saliva, Katie Arminger).
"Worth The Hurt" is indicative of the group's signature "poly-jam-orous" sound they call "Blue Jean Rock." Spiced with a heavy blend of the group's musical influences (classic rock and '90s country), their music reflects country sensibilities with a rock and roll beat--a sound they say "fits like a favorite pair of blue jeans--both comfortable and classic and never goes out of style."
The band is slated to release their first, full-length vinyl project, SIX GUN SOUL on April 12, which includes previously-released singles "World's Gone Crazy," and "God’s Ear," the latter being hailed by both critics and musicians -- from Robert K. Oermann (Music Row) to Shawn Drover (formerly of Megadeth).
