Located about 30 miles northeast of Orlando is Deltona Florida. Deltona has the largest population in Volusia County with roughly 86,000 residents. Deltona has activities for both adults and children. From golf courses to ecological and wildlife tours, Deltona has something for everyone.
Florida is known for its golf courses. Glen Abbey Golf Course in Deltona is no exception. This 18-hole golf course offers a driving range, as well as a chipping and putting range where visitors can practice before they tee off.
The Deltona Arts And Historical Center features cultural events, performing arts programs, and art exhibitions. The center also includes art classes, a recording studio as well as acting and music workshops. Families can enjoy learning new instruments in a fun environment and can have a recording made of their experience.
Visitors can take a tour on the St. John's River and get to catch a glimpse of wildlife. During the two hour tour, visitors will get to see animals such as turtles, alligators, manatees, various types of birds and so much more. These are all animals that can be seen living in their natural environments.
Deltona is a fairly quiet town, but it does offer quite a bit of fun for anyone who visits.
