Cochise Chops Books

What is this book about? My life! The Good, the Bad and the Ugly! It tells you where I came from, how life shaped me, and how God saved
me! But, what makes me think people would want to read about a poor kid raised in rural Kentucky named, Jimmy Powell, also known as Pastor Cochise Chops or Brother Jim? Honestly, I cannot give you a concrete answer for this question. All I can say is, over the years, I have been asked by some close motorcycle riding buddies, and a few church members,
“When are you going to write your life story?” To which I would say, “When God allows me to.” Just recently, at a good friend’s book signing
here in Daytona Beach, FL, he too asked me, “When?”. I gave the same answer. Yet, I had known for awhile that my Lord had given me the green light to do this.

Since my Christian conversion (over 30 plus years now), I have given my personal salvation testimony orally a thousand times or more. I’ve
shared it in churches, jails, prisons, conventions, and one-on-one with all who asked. In the past, I also distributed thousands of copies of my story on cassette tapes. But to write a book?

Even though it had entered my mind many times and God was cool with it, I kept dismissing such a thing. Here are a couple of reasons why: First, I still use only 2 fingers to type and my grammar was/is atrocious.
