Christ Church (Port Orange)

Description

Christ Church is a group of Jesus followers who want to transform our communities and change the world by loving God and loving others! Christ Church was established in 1985 by a small group of Daytona area men and women passionate about the Word of God, an authentic experience of community and the mission of Jesus. Over the past 25 plus years our church family has grown and changed and our members have spread out all over the country and the world, but the values that have shaped us remain the same. We are all about Jesus; His glory and His Mission. We believe in the inerrancy and authority of God's Word. We embrace the doctrines of grace and the empowering activity of the Holy Spirit including the continuation of all the spiritual gifts. Our Sunday meetings are generally an hour and a half from 10a-11:30 and including contemporary worship, children's ministry and expository preaching, but the Sunday meeting is not the primary context for our calling and mission. We meet in small groups (LifeGroups) throughout the area (Ormond to New Smyrna Beach) to strengthen each other in community and to engage in mission through genuine loving relationships with those whom God has placed in our lives to reach with the gospel.
