Join the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse on Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am, for a virtual zoom presentation, The Ship That Never Sails: A History of Lightships. This unique online program is offered in celebration of International Lighthouse/Lightship Day; a world-wide event designed to promote public awareness of the fascinating role that lighthouses and lightships have played in maritime history around the globe and the need for their continued preservation. The Ship That Never Sails: A History of Lightship will be presented by Mike Bennett, Director of Operations and John Mann, Lead Docent at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse. This unique International Lighthouse/Lightship Day program will only be offered virtually due COVID-19. Viewers can log in starting at 10:45 pm on August 15th using the link below. This online event is limited to 100 participants. Those wishing to join us are asked to contact Programs Manager Mary Wentzel by email at mwentzel@ponceinlet.org to reserve their spot and assist museum staff in organizing the event.
