Heavenly Horses Training and Lessons

I train with a horse first approach in classical techniques.Regardless of a horses main discipline a good foundation of respect, confidence, and ground work are most important before continuing any training. Further more that if a horse can not lounge properly he will not be able to to carry him self or a rider properly. Meaning that he must be working rounded through the back and working from behind evenly and the lateral pair of legs should be floating together in time if he can not then he should revert to ground work and lounging till he can obtain this. I also believe that we should be riding seat, leg, hand, aids if needed, in that order. The horse should be engauged through the back and working from behind thus connecting the forehand to the haunches. By doing this not only are you saving your horse from pain and a short working life but, he will enjoy his work and training. No matter your discipline progression will come faster and easier.
