The Flagler Auditorium Governing Board, Inc. was established in 1991. The mission of the corporation is to create a favorable climate for the arts in the community; to expand the reach of arts activity into the total community and encourage greater community awareness of arts activity; to provide a source for services and technical assistance to arts institutions; to establish lines of communication between arts institutions and public and private agencies; to raise the level of priority for arts education; to promote and encourage cultural and artistic activities in Flagler County, Florida; to develop the artistic and cultural resources within such area; to encourage, sustain and support existing and future artistic and cultural institutions; and to encourage the public to give support, financial and otherwise, to all of such activities; to promote leadership and direction in planning, scheduling and promoting the performing arts and community use of the Flagler Auditorium.
