Ahoy, Matey! The Daytona Beach Main Street Merchants Association in conjunction with Al Smith Productions want you to know the Pirates are coming to the Rock the Block Rum Fest Street Party on Saturday, September 4, 2021, from 6:00 PM until Midnight.
Event Details
Main Street’s Rock the Block Rum Fest Street Party is presented by Politis & Matovina Law Firm, is free and open to the public and will have something for everyone.
Main Street will be closed to street traffic from 6:00 PM until Midnight from A1A to Peninsula Drive. Main Street will be transformed into a Caribbean Island Experience complete a pirate parade, a pirate ship, fireworks, and lots and lots and lots of pirates. There may even be some sightings of Jack Sparrow!
The Pirate Parade will begin at the East end of Main Street and A1A at 7:30 PM and travel West down Main Street with a bagpiper leading the way, followed by the Ancient City Sirens Belly Dance Troup, Mermaid Delilah, Ancient City Privateers Pirate Crew, and a pirate ship with full banners, crew and flags.
Loads of festival foods will be available at a food court with a wide variety of food trucks. In addition, there will be live music by Hayfire and Redgate, a variety of rum drinks, sword fighting demonstrations, and more - making this free street party an ideal destination for family fun.
The Main Street Rock the Block Rum Fest Street Party is free and open to the public. Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy the block party, stroll Main Street, listen to live music, check out the food trucks, sip some rum and chill!
In addition to the Rock the Block Rum Fest, adults can participate in the Rock the Block Rum Fest Pub Crawl. Tickets for the Pub Crawl are $15.00 in advance and $20.00 the day of the festival. Advance tickets can be purchased at Rum-Fest-Pub-Crawl.eventbrite.com.
Pub Crawl attendees will receive an event souvenir cup and a full size (9 oz) rum drink (aka, Grog) from each of five participating (and legendary!) Main Street bars. These specialty rum drinks are sure to make attendees say “Yo-Ho-Ho!” while celebrating the Labor Day holiday weekend!
Each pub crawl attendee must check in at one of two registration tents (one at Hollywood and Main Street and one in the parking lot of Full Moon Saloon) to receive their Rum Fest Pub Crawl souvenir cup, map and drink tickets.
