9th Annual Halifax Oyster Jam Music Festival Party With A Purpose!
The 2018 Halifax Oyster Jam Music Festival is pleased to announce a new name, new dates, and a bigger, better Party with a Purpose! The festival will take place on Saturday and Sunday March 24th and 25th from 11 am -7 pm (both days) on City Island. City Island is located on the Intracoastal Waterway in Downtown Daytona Beach, behind the Daytona Beach Library. An increased festival footprint is expanded to include the waterside Pavilion that will offer paddle boards and more! Both festival days will have live music throughout the festival.
Admission to the festival is $8.00/person at the gate – children under 12 enter free.
Oysters and Beer
Under the management of Al Smith Productions and Current Productions, the 2018 Halifax Oyster Jam Music Festival is devoted to supporting local shoreline restoration. "We are looking forward to attendees enjoying some of our local seafood treasures. We will be featuring a wide variety of oyster dishes, as well as raw, shucked and steamed oysters, and a number of other food options," said Smith. “New this year is the addition of the Down-Home Oyster Roast! SHUCK YOUR OWN by the 1/2 dozen! Attendees will have the option to shuck and grill their own oysters, which they will be able to buy by the half or full dozen at a reduced price. There will be grills and shucking tables available and Oyster Shucking Ambassadors on hand to assist and give instruction. It’s going to be a shuckin’ good time!”
Buffett Tunes and Reggae
Besides lots of oysters, liquid refreshments and other food options, the 2018 Halifax Oyster Jam Music Festival will feature lots of great live entertainment. Attendees will enjoy live music both days! Saturday will feature Gary Roland and The Landsharks, a Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band, C-Posse and Cool Breeze. Sunday will feature Reggae favorites like Propaganjah and C-Posse’s Bob Marley tribute.

The Halifax Oyster Jam Music Festival is truly a Party with a Purpose. This festival helps raise awareness of the important role oysters play in keeping our waterways and ecosystem healthy while restoring the local oyster population. All of the oyster shells are collected
