Community Festival and Bike Ride
Part of the 2018 "Not So Noisy" Bike Week

9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Community Festival, including a kid-friendly bicycle safety rodeo
10:00 a.m. Bike ride with Daytona Beach Police Chief Capri
11:30 a.m. Florida premier of "Why We Cycle"

WHEN: Saturday, February 24, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

WHERE: Bethune-Cookman University's L. Gale Lemerand School of Nursing, located at 739 W. International Speedway Boulevard, Daytona Beach, FL 32114

WHO: This event is co-organized by faculty, staff, and students from Bethune-Cookman University, Daytona State College, and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. The effort is supported by the Florida Department of Transportation's reThink Your Commute program.

The Community Festival, which starts at 9:00 a.m., will include a kid-friendly bicycle safety rodeo and a transportation information fair. Even if you do not plan on joining us for the bike ride, this fun, free event will be a great way to learn about your transportation options and receive a free bike helmet. Attendees may enter a raffle to win a bicycle, helmet, bike lights, and a lock.

Special thanks to our transportation partners, including Votran, the River to Sea Transportation Planning Organization, FDOT's Alert Today Alive Tomorrow initiative, and the Florida Bicycle Association.
