Race fans get ready! In only a few days, Daytona Beach becomes the epicenter of all things NASCAR. This year celebrates the 60th running of the famous NASCAR race.  Daytona 500 race doesn’t start until February 18th, but the calendar of events in Daytona Beach begins this Saturday, February 10th. The race has sold out the past two years, so buy your tickets early.

Events Before And During The Daytona 500 This Weekend 

There are plenty of fun race-related events leading up to the Daytona 500. The Daytona International Speedway offers everything from single ticket sales to travel packages with PRIMESPORT ​Travel packages include options for tickets, lodging, and VIP hospitality.  Geico Camping offers packages as close to the action as you can get and around different turns throughout the speedway. Many campgrounds are already sold out so visit the site soon if you are planning on loading up family and friends for this unforgettable experience.

If you are planning to explore some events outside of race day, there is over a week of race fun and plenty of events to check out in and around the Daytona International Speedway. The USAC.25 national season kicks off for the first time ever at the speedway, allowing drivers as young as five to compete. The UNOH Fanzone is a premier destination for race fans wanting to be smack in the center of the action. Drivers and VIPs take the stage to answer questions, see the “garage view” as drivers and crews prepare for the race, see historic displays, get some autographs, and more!

Other events throughout the week leading up to the Daytona 500 include the Lucas Oil 200 on February 10th, and the Daytona 500 Qualifying by Kroger and the Advance Auto Parts Clash, both on February 11th. For all events, parking is available in several lots infield and near the speedway. 

Pre-race ceremonies start at 8:00 AM on Sunday, February 18th, followed by Driver Appearances starting at 10:00 AM. The famous Daytona 500 starts at 3:00 PM, with drivers participating in the 200 lap, 500-mile race. Visit the Visitor Center for details on parking and directions.
