Author and historian Nancy Long, from the Heritage Preservation Trust in Daytona Beach, will discuss the life of Mary McLeod Bethune. Dr. Long has taught at Bethune-Cookman Univeristy and Daytona State College in addition to being president of the Heritage Preservation Trust which oversees Lilian Place and the Hotchkiss House. Due to our exhibit The Way We Worked, this presentation will be held at the Utilities Commission building in the DeBerry Room. The event is free and open to the public but donations are appreciated.
